Introduction

Do you believe alien lizards rule the world? Over one in three Americans have joined this conspiracy craze, leaving psychologists scratching their

heads over why otherwise rational individuals have gone just a little bit… well, nuts.

Joined by an outstanding crew and cast, Worontschak & Western-Pittard opened the 2019 Season of the New York Musical Festival to an adoring

audience applauding for more. Passionate, catchy, Rock & Roll, surprising and smart, the striking music of ILfOS crawls inside your head like an

intergalactic ear-worm and refuses to let go of your mind…

What is Illuminati Lizards from Outer Space, the Movie? Think Mars attacks meets Galaxy Quest!

Why not join the invasion? After all, the lizards command it.

Synopsis

When beauty-pageant contestant, Tina Lyons is disqualified from the finale of the Ms. Beautiful World competition after it’s discovered she’s

from Canada and therefore an illegal alien, she… let’s just say, overreacts. Later, choosing between a jail sentence or a stint in rehab, she’s invited

to the Savra Wellness Centre by an agent working for actual illegal Space-Aliens – who have mistaken her for one of their own deep-cover agents.

Little does she know as she checks in to the fake hospital (a not so cleverly disguised mothership) that it’s a secret operation run by the Illuminati

Lizards. They’re on a mission to colonise the planet. The problem is – they’re super crap at their job and they’re running out of time before the

mission is cancelled and planet earth is annihilated. From Tina’s perspective she’s feels as though she’s trapped in an asylum. In fact, the only

person who seems to know what’s going on is David the Janitor, the only other genuine human in the centre.

With the lizard aliens believing her to be of their own, someone who’s gone so deep cover she’s forgotten her true identity, and with Tina

believing these lizard aliens to be yet another symptom of her own overworked psyche, everyone thinks they know who the other is, but no one

really knows anything. Tina decides to help her new friends ‘complete their mission’ by putting on their very own Anti-Beauty Pageant, using

their DNA altering, Human Cream as first prize.

What no-one realises is that that when eaten, the cream transforms all Humans into non-binary lizard egg bearers who are irresistibly attracted

to the aliens, not to mention morphing them physically into youthful gods and goddesses. Soon, under Tina’s direction these pageants transform

the world, and the Lizards’ mission to colonise the planet is assured.

Finally confident of a competent successor, the head of the Illuminati mission retires, awarding Tina the coveted title of Overlord. When Tina

does eventually realise the truth that the aliens are real, it’s too late. David the Janitor plays his hand at last and reveals own plan to rule the

world. Tina must make a choice: Side with the Lizards and their plan for world-domination or the Human and his plan for… also world-

domination. But choose she must—after all, she always wanted to change the world.

Just for laughs...

As Einstein so famously remarked; 'Why so serious?' *

That's the question: in a world where current events and the daily

news cycle more closely resembles the script of a Hollywood

apocalypse-thriller and nations are dealing with existential threats,

we should all… just lighten up a little.

We could talk long and hard about the hidden meanings and

subtexts of Illuminati Lizards From Outer Space, about the nature

of conspiracies and those that fervently believe in them, but

actually, no. The story, the characters and the world of ILFOS are

all about having a laugh, about entertainment for the sheer fun of

it, about checking out from reality whilst having a playful poke at

those that believe 'mysterious others' control their fate.

Lets for a second imagine that there are powerful aliens with

designs upon our planet, with a mission to enslave Humanity. As

storytellers, Paul & Yuri have wondered if this superior force was

so powerful, why haven't they finished the job yet? After all, Humanity's been around for a bit. Our conclusion is

simple. The aliens are useless. They're as bad at conquering the planet as we are at running it.

The point of Illuminati Lizards is that no-one has the answers. Grab a chair, check your very real concerns at the door and settle in for some rock&roll

sci-fi fun, where the most serious threat to humanity is either an incompetent hoard of reptilian invaders or a deranged conspiracy-theorist/Janitor. Where a

failed beauty Queen might just save the world from them all. Or not.

Illuminati Lizards from Outer Space is light on satire and heavy on silly. It plays to known tropes and B-Movie melodrama; story elements that our Comic-Con

going audience knows well. Our viewers are fans of smart but intentionally naive dialogue, of music and musicals, or most anything by Seth McFarlane.

Channeling old-school sci-fi and the guilty pleasure of watching B-movies, Illuminati Lizards from Outer Space is a homage, a tip of the hat, and we hope, a

laugh at a time when audiences want more than anything, to smile.

* Actually, it may have been the Joker. But we're pretty sure Einstein would have been cool with it.

Fun with Aliens

Illuminati Lizards From Outer Space is a wholly original Sci-Fi comedy by the writing team of Paul Western-Pittard and Yuri

Worontschak. Part 'B' Movie satire, part commentary on the transitional nature of values and truths we used to think were

unmovable, the show is funny and raucous, slightly out of control and a rock and roll party that everyone's invited to.

And underneath that, it has a heart as big as Manhattan. It follows the story of Tina Lyons as her beliefs are constantly

challenged and she's forced to grow. She isn't the person she thinks she is, and only at the end does she truly understand

what it is to be her true self.

The show is populated by a cast of outrageous, enthusiastic and charmingly naïve characters in the form of the invading

'Illuminati Command' (to which Tina is mistakenly added). They are a small force of alien lizards on a mission to colonise

the planet earth. But crippled by incompetence and sheer distraction, they are literally the worst alien invaders in

history. Imagine the ineptitude of the staff in the TV show, 'The Office', now give them ray guns, and make them from

outer space, and you'll get what's going on with these guys.

Supported by a killer rock & roll score and writing that celebrates a sense of fun, optimism and sexual openness, Illuminati

Lizards From Outer Space is silly in the all the ways' ‘B-movies’ can be, while at the same time drilling deeply into our modern

sense of paranoia about what's really going on in the world.

So, what are Illuminati Lizards Anyway?

Illuminati Lizards From Outer Space has its origins in the growing tide of internet and real-world conspiracy theories that are ballooning day by day. And with the advent of social media, these conspiracies are exploding in a way never seen before. The moon landing never happened. Airlines spray mind-altering chem-trails as they jet through the sky. A secret base in Alaska creates climate events. Fluoride in toothpaste is a mind-control agent. Some of the most vocal conspiracists, including David Icke openly declare that the British royal family are actual alien lizards, along with members of the US Political and Financial

elite. They even have YouTube clips to prove it. It's a crazy world out there.

So, we asked the question: what if it really was true? What if alien lizards actually were behind these things, but they were just completely awful at their job.

And so the show was born.

Cast

TINA LYONS (26)

Our hero, with a lifelong dream to transform the world, using the marketing reach of Beauty Pageants. She's smart – but her plans and understanding of the world are overcomplicated. At heart she's a good person. Not naïve but opimistc. She has a tragic weakness for puppies, which belies her woman-of-the-world exterior. She will change her mind or try something new, but only if she sees a good reason for doing so and will never allow herself to be coerced or bullied. She will dance with the devil, if that's what it takes, but she's never cynical. Fresh, mostly self-ware.

OVERLORD - THE COMMANDER OF THE EARTH OPERATION (62)

The Overlord is a Wred middle manager just playing out her time until retirement. She's been in the conquering business for hundreds of years, and this whole debacle with Earth can't end soon enough. She's actually pretty nice, and more of a

collaborator than leader, (which drives Raquel crazy). At one point in her past she was a firebrand, but now she'll be content with just gekng off the mission. In truth, she quite likes Earth and its people.

RAQUEL - THE ILLUMINATI LIZARD SECOND IN COMMAND (44)

Raquel is a career officer in the Interstellar Lizard Military. This (shambles of a mission) is probably her last. She was on career trajectory toward lizard General until this. She's deeply annoyed at their failure, and even more annoyed that their clear orders to evacuate are being ignored. Raquel's demeanour can be biting and verges at times as bitter, but she at heart is a good soldier and believes in the cause. She's frustrated at the incompetence of her crew. She doesn't personally dislike Tina but sees her as an obstacle. Quietly, or perhaps not so quietly, she's a dominatrix.

GUY - A FLASHY ILLUMINATI LIBERTINE/LAWYER (31)

Deeply, deeply in love with himself. He is genuine in his belief that others must also love him just as much. Big natured, flamboyant, sexually overconfident and optimistic to his core, Guy is all about experiences. He will bend or break rules as he sees fit but will never overtly disobey the Overlord. He believes in the mission to colonise Earth, and is deeply impressed by his own genitalia – and wants to share the experience with pretty much anyone else, regardless of species or gender.

KLAUS - CHIEF SCIENTIST AND DOCTOR (50)

Ueerly crazy. Something went very wrong with Klaus a long Yme ago, and although he's retained his scientfic genius, he's now in it for the vivisections and drugs as much as anything else. Like the rest of the invaders, he's actually pretty nice and will in his naïve way want to help. He's prone to completely random outbursts and odd word associations. He's oblivious to his differences from the others and views himself as a critically important team member. He self-medicates. A lot. There's some debate around where he picked up his accent. Probably by watching too much Hogan's Heroes.

DAVID THE JANITOR - A CONSPIRACY THEORIST. (39)

Very Phantom of the Opera. Very English. Formerly an active investigator, but now, as a result of his constant exposure to the lizards and their plans he's gone slightly insane. He thinks of himself as the hero, the saviour of humanity. In his mind, there's always a spotlight on him. Self-important and grandiose, he's actually somewhat of a coward and will eagerly delegate risky tasks. With his undercover role of janitor, he understands the truth of the Lizard's mission but secretly wants to subvert it to his own ends.
